Tufts Climbing is a team of all skill levels committed to making a welcoming and fun climbing community at Tufts. The team is very socially active as our goal is to make everyone feel included and comfortable, regardless of their climbing skill level. We have three subsets of our overall team for different commitment and skill levels:

1. Recreational Teams — teams for new or casual climbers who want to find a community of people to climb with. Groups of 10-15 climbers meet on campus and travel together to the gym once a week. There are currently 5 rec teams! To join the rec team there is a form that comes out towards the beginning of the semester and usually it is first come first serve.
2. Training Team — this team is for members who wish to get stronger in their climbing and practice with others who share the same goal. There are 1-2 training teams. The team is professionally coached and it meets twice a week. There is an informal try-in process for this team.
3. Competition Team — The competition team is for people who are very committed to climbing and would like to compete at the collegiate level. The team meets 3 times a week and is intended for experienced climbers who are extremely passionate and dedicated. Like the training team, there is a skill based try-in process and interviews. It is also coached by one of our best collegiate climbing coaches in the area. Competition schedule: TBD on USA Climbing.

Teams practice every day of the week except Saturday (times vary semester to semester but typically 7-9pm). We practice at the Central Rock Gyms, which have 4 locations within 20 minutes of Tufts.
