Who are we? Tufts Alpine Ski Team is a group of dedicated individuals who are passionate about their love for the sport of skiing. We strive to continuously improve our own abilities and the community we participate in. We compete in the Thompson division of USCSA. We are one of the largest and most competitive teams in the division, and certainly the most spirited. Our team is entirely student-run, and is organized and managed by a 10-person executive board that handles all logistics, financials, and organization necessary for us to compete.

What do we do? We race. Our season starts with an intensive training trip during the last week of winter break, and is immediately followed by the first of five in-season weekend races, and culminates in a postseason of regionals and potentially nationals. During the season, we practice twice a week at local ski areas including Bradford and Wachusett and our races have been held previously at Jay Peak, Middlebury Snowbowl, Dartmouth Skiway, and Whaleback. We spend lots of time as a team and create lifelong friendships with our teammates while ensuring a safe and inclusive space for all to compete. 

Interested in joining the club? We are open to all skiers with no requirement of previous race experience and our admissions process favors those who show commitment to the team and to our community. Skiing is an expensive sport, but to ensure cost isn’t a barrier, we provide financial aid and can assist skiers in finding affordable options for safe and functional ski equipment. All skiers are encouraged to apply and requirements and criteria will be outlined in detail at the general interest meeting after the student activities fair each fall. The time and date of the meeting will be announced at the student activities fair and on our social media.
