Tufts Club Soccer, better known as Tufts University Football Club (TUFC), is a student run athletic program on campus that competes against other collegiate club soccer teams within Massachusetts and the Greater New England area. Founded in 2006, TUFC currently has a Blue team and a Brown team - both compete in the Central Mass. Division under the Northeast Regional Conference of the overlooking organization, NIRSA. In total, approximately 50 student-athletes participate with the club program on an annual basis. Both teams usually practice 3 times a week with 1-2 games on the weekend during the fall season, with a reduced schedule in the spring.
The skill and commitment level are high for both teams; acceptance is tryout only.
Following the regular-season, NIRSA holds a regional and national tournament. The TUFC "Blue team" has qualified and played in the Northeast Regionals Tournament seven times and the National Tournament four times (2014 Northeast Finalists, 2016 Northeast Champions, 2021 Northeast Finalists, and 2024 At-Large Bid). Meanwhile, the "Brown team" has qualified and played in the Northeast Regionals four times (2019, 2022, 2023, and 2024) and National Tournament once (2019 as Northeast Champions).
Fall 2025 tryouts are Saturday, 8/30 and Sunday, 8/31 from 3:30-6pm and Monday, 9/1 from 4-6pm. All tryouts will be on Bello Field.
