Tufts Men's Club Ultimate consiitsts of several teams- Elephant Men (E-Men), BMEN, and CMEN. Continue below to learn more about each team.
Founded in 1972 in Somerville, Massachusetts, the Tufts Elephant Men (E-Men) are the fifth oldest ultimate team in existence and hold the distinction of hosting the first ever college nationals. For 50 years they have strived to compete at the highest level, most notably reaching quarterfinals of the national championship in 2012. The E-Men travel around the country to compete against other nationally-competitive D-I teams. Tufts is consistently ranked in the top-20 teams nationally, and numerous players have won individual awards for their contributions. The E-Men are currently captained by Oscar Graff, Sachin Zachariah, Tucker Livingston, and Zak Rizvi and are led by head coach Gene Buonaccorsi.
The Tufts E-Men practice 4x per week in the spring, in addition to workouts and tournaments throughout our season. Practices are held on Tufts campus and tryouts determine the team roster. They compete in Division I USA Ultimate. Tufts Men’s Varsity Ultimate Frisbee welcomes any and all players to tryout and share our love of the game.

Â
The BMEN are an ultimate frisbee team for male-identifying players at Tufts with one main goal in mind: provide the space for Tufts students to get whatever they want from the sport and community. For some, this means trying out for the BMEN in order to play competitively against other talented D1-dev teams in the Northeast. For others, this means committing less time and playing for the CMEN, who do not hold tryouts or cuts but still have the chance to play against other college teams in the Northeast in scrimmages and tournaments. No matter which team one chooses, everyone is a BMAN and therefore a part of the welcoming, tight-knit frisbee community at Tufts alongside the other men’s team (EMEN) and the women’s teams (EWO and BWO).Â
Â
Players on the BMEN can expect 3 practices a week and a few regional tournaments; players on the CMEN can expect 2 practices a week, a couple local scrimmages, and a tournament.
