PRIOR TO TUFTS: Attended Edmond North High School in Edmond, Oklahoma, where he competed in cross country and track & field, specializing in the 1,600 and 3,200 meters...He earned All-State honors in cross country during his junior and senior seasons while being named the team's Most Improved runner as a sophomore and MVP as a senior...He helped lead the Huskies to a third-place finish at the 2023 Oklahoma Cross Country State Championships and a runner-up finish in 2025...He posted personal-best times of 2:01 in the 800 meters, 4:26 in the mile, 8:58 in the 3,000 meters, 9:40 in the 3,200 meters and 15:32 in the 5K...In the classroom, he was a member of both the National Honor Society and High School Honor Society.
