Stephen Doyle



Stephen Doyle joined the Tufts staff in the summer of 2025, officially taking over for retiring head coach George Pendergast in December of 2025. Doyle most recently spent the previous four years as the Professional Golf Association (PGA) instructor of Doyle Golf in Littleton, Massachusetts. He oversaw tailoring golf lessons utilizing Trackman launch analysis as well as using video for enhanced instruction.

Prior to that, he was the head golf professional at Vesper Country Club in Tyngsborough, Massachusetts from 2013 to 2021. While at Vesper, he directed all golf operations including supervising a staff of more than 15 golf professionals, assistants, and staff. He also oversaw all aspects of operations, budget, programming, grounds, and training. In addition, Doyle was the first assistant golf professional at The Country Club, the renowned club known for hosting multiple U.S. Opens from 2005-2013. While at TCC, he coordinated daily operations, tournaments, merchandising, as well as supervising Class A professionals and PGA interns. Doyle holds a Class A membership with the PGA, while also being certified as a club fitting expert by Titleist.
