Tom Siddall

Tom Siddall was named Assistant Coach of Men’s Rowing at Tufts in August of 2019. Prior to Tufts, Tom spent the year as an Intern Assistant at Harvard University with the Heavyweight Men’s program while completing his graduate certificate at the Institute for Rowing Leadership (IRL).

Last spring Siddall was there as the Jumbo men's program continued to propel itself into national championship contention. Competing at the first-ever IRA Division III Championship at historic Mercer Lake, the Jumbos powered past NESCAC rival Trinity College down the stretch to finish as the national runner-up for 2022.

After his first spring season with the team in 2020 was canceled due to COVID-19, he was part of the team that returned in 2021 for a NESCAC season. The Jumbo men won the NESCAC East Division to advance to the conference championship round where they finished third.

Siddall's summers are spent on the development side of the Junior National Team, including with the Northeast Junior Women’s Olympic Development Program run out of Saratoga Springs, N.Y. A previous summer was spent on the men’s side at the Under-18 Small Boat Development Camp at Bates College.

Prior to Harvard and the IRL, Siddall was an assistant for three years with the UMass Amherst Men and Head Coach of the Pioneer Valley Riverfront Club’s rowing programs.

He was a four-year member of the men’s varsity rowing program at Fairfield University, where in that time he got his start coaching at Maritime Rowing Club in Norwalk, Conn.
