Before Tufts: Was on the swimming team, the coss country team, the track team and the ultimate frisbee team at Bellevue High School...competed in the Junior Nationals...is a state record holder and holds high school records...was a receipient of the 3 Dryland Performance Award...was the Milton Swimming MVP his freshman year...won the Wolverine Award...was the winner of the Marin Morrison Award...was a two-time Academic All-American...was selected as the most disciplined student of the month...earned a 4.0 GPA his senior year.

Personal: Son of Sureyya and Karen....has one sibling, Erin (18).
