Before Tufts: Was on the swimming team at Ashland High School...was selected as the Tri Valley League MVP his junior and senior years...is the Tri Valley League record holder in the 50 free, 100 free and 200 free...finished in first place in the 50 free at sectionals, trying the meet record and finished in second place in the 100 free...finished second in the 50 free at the state meet and third in the 100 free...was on the honor roll...member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Son of Jane and Harry...has one sibling, Alex (16).
