Before Tufts: Was on the swimming team and the cross country team at La Jolla High School...has three school records from his senior year...was a two-time MVP of the team...was a two-time recipient of the Coaches Award...was a top six CIF finalist during three years of high school...was on the varsity cross country team all four years of high school...won the Marine Corp Outstanding Athlete Award in high school...was the male athlete for San Diego...won the High School Sports Award for La Jolla High School.
