PRIOR TO TUFTS: Was a standout as a prep, ranking No. 128 as well as a four-star recruit on TennisRecruiting.net...improved her ranking every year during her high school career...was Massachusetts state champion in 2024...helped Lexington HS to a team title in 2022 and 2023...All-Scholastic in 2022, 2023 and 2024...went undefeated as a high school player...named League MVP as a senior. 

PERSONAL: Parents Michael McCandless and Jane Chang...has three siblings, Kyle, Joel and Mia...chose Tufts "for the tight knit high level sports community, interdisciplinary opportunities, and convenient location."
