Davis Cote joined the Tufts University cross country and track & field coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach in 2025 and has been promoted to a full-time role with the Jumbos for the 2026-27 season.
During the 2025 cross country seasons, Cote assisted Jumbo teams that placed seventh (men) and 11th (women) at the NCAA Division III Championships. That was the best combined performance by the men’s and women’s teams in school history.
In November, Cote was promoted to a paid part-time position and helped the track & field teams to many personal-best times, school records and All-Conference, All-Region and All-American finishes.
Cote was a two-year cross country captain (2023-25) as well as a track & field captain (2024-25) at the University of Vermont. A varsity letter winner for all 12 athletic seasons at UVM, he was a three-year member of the America East Conference Academic Honor Roll and a member of the UVM Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
From Wilton, Connecticut originally, Cote received the Lieutenant John G. Corr Memorial Award in 2021, presented to the student who best embodies the qualities of academic dedication, athletic participation, leadership, and personal character.
