Katie White, who has 20 years of field hockey coaching experience, has joined head coach Tina Mattera’s Tufts University staff as assistant coach.

White’s coaching career includes stops at four Division I institutions. Most recently, she was the Associate Head Coach at the University of Massachusetts Lowell from 2011-23. During 12 seasons with the River Hawks, White was involved in all aspects of the program and coached 17 America East All-Conference athletes and 16 All-Rookie Team selections.

Before UMass Lowell, White held assistant coaching roles at Holy Cross (2010-11), Albany (2007-10) and Colgate (2006-07). She was part of the Albany staff that guided the team to the 2008 America East Conference championship.

Since 2023, White has been the Head Field Hockey Coach as well as Associate Director of Admissions at the Governor’s Academy.

A 2006 graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a degree in psychology, White was a senior captain, two-time All-Region honoree and the American East Rookie of the Year in 2002. Her 45 career goals and 95 career points remain top 10 all-time marks at UNH.
