Entering his 10th season on the Tufts staff, Kenn Jones is the Defensive Pass Game Coordinator, and cornerbacks coach for the Jumbos.

Jones joined the program after six seasons at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he coached the Defensive backs from 2011-2015 and served as the Running Backs coach and Video Coordinator in 2016. He was on staff for the undefeated 2014 MIT squad that won their first conference championship, and first NCAA playoff game.

Jones joined the Jumbos in the 2017 season as the cornerbacks and returners coach, and was named the secondary coach during the 2020 COVID cancelled season. From 2021-2024 the Tufts pass defense regularly ranked among the top units in the NESCAC, including a 2023 unit that was ranked top 5 in all NCAA divisions of football in completions allowed (3^rd - 96), yards allowed (4^th - 1,307), and touchdowns allowed (tied for 5^th - 8).

At Tufts, Jones has helped to develop eight all-NESCAC players, including 2024 consensus DIII All-American DB Ty Richardson.

Jones is a Boston native, and a 2009 graduate of Northeastern University. He lives in Dorchester with his wife Elana and their son.
