Roberts and the Tufts defense recorded their fifth
shutout

WATERVILLE, Me. - Senior Tamara Brown
(Annandale, Va.) powered second-ranked Tufts University with one
goal and three assists in a 5-0 victory over Colby College in
NESCAC play at Bill Alfond Field on Saturday.
Tufts is 8-0 overall and 5-0 in conference play. Coach Tina
McDavitt's team has now won 45 of 49 since the start of the 2008
season. The Mules fall to 4-5 overall and 0-5 in the league.
Brown, the leading scorer in the NESCAC, has 14 goals and five
assists on the season. She assisted on two goals by Melissa Burke
(Walpole, MA) and another by Missy Karp
(Berwyn, PA). Junior Sarah Cannon
(Atkinson, NH) added the final goal for the Jumbos.
Tufts, which had a 32-6 shot advantage, received five saves from
junior goaltender Marianna Zak
(Concord, MA). The shutout was the team's fifth in eight games this
fall. Liz Fontaine (Wilbraham, MA) stopped 15 shots for the
Mules.
