WATERVILLE, Maine - Raina Galbiati hit a three-run homer with two outs in the top of the seventh inning to put Tufts University up 10-8 and the Jumbos held on by that score in the opening game of a NESCAC East doubleheader on Saturday at Colby College.

An outfielder error by Colby brought in the first run, but the Mules were able to get the first out of the inning on a force out at home plate in the next at-bat. Michelle Chisdak followed with a sacrifice fly to left to bring in pinch-runner Isabel Smokelin to make it 8-7. Galbiati homered on a 1-1 count.
Raven Fournier, who homered in both games for Tufts, drove in three runs and scored twice in the first game. Galbiati and Raso also had two hits for the winners.
Robin Spofford led all hitters with three in the first game for Colby and she scored two runs. Emily Schatz drove in a pair of runs and scored. Sam Rizzo, Grace Farnkoff, and Kathleen Mason all doubled. Rizzo had two rbis on the day.
