Box Score SOMERVILLE, Mass. - Tufts Women's Soccer dominated a rough NESCAC game against Bates College with a 5-2 win on Saturday afternoon at Kraft Field. Junior Chandler Quintin submitted a one-goal, two-assist day to lead the team to victory.
The Jumbos recorded their third win of the season to put them 3-0-1 overall, and 2-0-0 in the NESCAC. The Bobcats took their third loss to show a 2-3-1 overall record and a 0-3-0 NESCAC slate.

In the 25th minute of the first half, Quintin passed a perfect ball into the slot to sophomore Alex Aronson who scored in the middle right side of the goal to put a 1-0 lead towards the Jumbos.
Off a Quintin and Taylor Koscho assist, sophomore Lexie Miller slid towards the goal as she put the ball over the keeper to improve to a 2-0 lead in the 33rd minute.
In a span of two minutes, the Jumbos continued again with a pass from Koscho in the top right corner to junior Margaret Zahrah who flicked a header into the left side of the goal to put a broader lead into the Tufts hands (35th minute).
Right out of halftime, Quintin found the net off a rebound and scored into the right side of the goal to expand the advantage to 4-0.
The Bobcats responded with a corner kick by senior Hannah Graves toward the box that freshman Adena Bernot headed toward sophomore Olivia Amdur who tipped the shot into the goal to decrease the Tufts lead to 4-1 in the 61st minute.
Jumbo sophomore Alessandra Sadler received a blocked pass that she dribbled past a wall of defenders and ripped a goal to the back left in the 72nd minute.
At the 77th minute, Bates junior Hannah Behringer passed through the defense to catch up to junior Brigid Quinn who score into the right half of the goal post finishing a busy day of offense.
Tufts' Emily Bowers saved six shots while improving her goalie record to 3-0-1. Bates' Sarah McCarthy took the loss to have a 2-2 record while she made seven saves throughout the rough and intense NESCAC game.
The Jumbos showed their toughness through many of the 22 fouls. Tufts had the advantage with the shots by 19-13.
The Jumbos return home to play conference foe Wesleyan on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. start. Bates has a quick turn around when they compete at University of New England on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
