Men's Cross Country Comes in Seventh out of 20 Teams at Connecticut College Invitational

Dylan Jones was Tufts top finisher today.

MEDFORD, Mass. - The Tufts University mens cross country team came in seventh place today out of 20 teams at the Connecticut College Invitational in Waterford, Connecticut. The Jumbos finsihsed with a team score of 162 with their top five runners being taken into account. 

RPI won the team competition with a total score of 55. Middlebury came in second with a 77 and Connecticut College finished with 124 to claim third at their event. 

Dylan Jones was the top finisher for Tufts with a 26:20.2 to come in 29th place overall. Colin Raposo (31st) and Andrew Doherty Munro (33rd) were second and third for Tufts and had times of 26:22.9 and 26:24.5 

Rounding out the Jumbo's top five were Brian Reaney and Patrick Nero with 36th and 41st place finishes. Hiroto Watanabe and Peter Horvath also came in the top 50 runners out of a total 282. 

The team's next outing will be in two weeks at the NESCAC Championship on October 28.
