Box Score ATLANTA - The Tufts University volleyball team rolled to a three-set victory over the University of Texas at Dallas in the Jumbos' second match at the East*West Classic hosted by Emory University on Saturday. Set scores were 25-19, 25-14, 25-15.
The Jumbos (3-0) were led offensively by 11 kills from
Jennelle Yarwood and 10 each from
Maya Lightfoot and
Christine Audette. On defense, Lightfoot and
Cora Cunningham both recorded three block assists. Yarwood led with 14 digs and
Maddie Yu finished with 13.
For the Comets (3-3), Catherine Croft posted nine kills and Lauren Johnson recorded four block assists.
Tufts hit at a .326 clip for the match, with Lightfoot not making an error in her 11 attempts for a staggering .909 mark. Yarwood hit just one error in her 23 attempts for a .435 mark.Â
The Jumbos limited UT Dallas to .071 success offensively.
Tufts finishes its stay in Atlanta with a match against Washington University St. Louis later on Saturday evening.
