BABSON PARK, MA (November 21, 2023) - Tufts played its first non-conference game Tuesday night against Babson College, which is receiving national votes in the US College Hockey Online poll. The game ended in a 1-1 tie. The Jumbos now sit 0-2-1 on the season.
Senior goaltender
Peyton Durand made 37 saves in the tie. The Jumbos fired 25 shots on goal. The Jumbos went 3-3 on penalty kills. They also blocked 16 shots, which is a season-high for the Jumbos.

Max Resnick went 4-5 in the circle this period.
Tufts began the second period with a power-play, where they were unable to capitalize. With 9:45 left to play sophomore Max Reznick put the jumbos on the board with a beautiful shot from the circle. Sedlak recorded the assist. Tufts killed off two power-plays to hold the lead. However, Babson would end up tying the game within the last minute to play on a Cam Joslin goal, making the score 1-1. Durand made nine more saves in the second for the Jumbos.
The third period was also back and forth, and the Jumbos killed a late penalty. Durand made five saves to add to his outstanding night.
The Jumbos will take on Skidmore College to begin the Skidmore Thanksgiving Tournament on Saturday, November 25.
