In singles, Kava won her eighth straight match at No. 4 singles, as the senior had no problems in a 6-0, 6-1 straight set victory over Shannon Cicero. With the score 3-1 in favor of the Jumbos, Hamilton closed the gap with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 to make the score 3-3 with three matches to go. Woodbury would pick up a huge win at No. 6, rallying for a 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 win to push the Jumbos to within a win of clinching the match. For Woodbury, that was her first singles win in a dual match of her career.
