CAMBRIDGE, MA (October 19, 2024) - Tufts University Men's Rowing opened its two-day appearance at the historic Head of the Charles Regatta on Saturday.
The Jumbo third and fourth varsity boats competed in the Club Eights event on Saturday afternoon. Olympic Silver Medalist
Alex Flynn, currently a Tufts junior, was also in action today with his U.S. Mixed Para PR3 4+ team.
In Club Eights, Tufts' third varsity had the 19th-fastest time of 15:34.651 over the three-mile course on the Charles River. A total of 36 teams raced in the event. Tufts' line-up was coxswain

The Jumbo fourth varsity's time was 15:59.229 for 21st place. Coxswain

Nathan Henderson,
Jack Donovan and
George Lakis.
Brown University won the Club Eights event today in a 14:13.523 time.
Joining Flynn today were his Paris Paralympics silver medalist teammates - coxswain Emelie Eldracher, Skylar Dahl, Gemma Wollenschlaeger and Ben Washburne. They rowed in a two-team race and won with a 17:14.192 time.
The Jumbo 1V8 and 2V8 will compete in the Collegiate Eights at the Head of the Charles on Sunday. Tufts will be defending its title won for the first time by the Jumbos last year.
