BOSTON, MA (October 20, 2024) - The Tufts University coed sailing team finished 18th at the Atlantic Coast Championship hosted by Boston College which finished on Sunday.
Conditions limited the action to just seven total races in A and B divisions. On Sunday, there were three starts in A's and four in B's. The Jumbos finished the weekend with scores of 93 in A division and 110 in B division for a 203 final score.
In A division, junior
Ben Mueller skippered the three Sunday races for Tufts. Senior crew
Rees Tindall worked the first race of the day, while sophomore
Cody Lamoreux was crew for the other two. Mueller and Lamoreux were third in the final A race of the day. The Jumbos were 18th in the division for the weekend.
The four B division races on Sunday had junior
Clark Morris as Tufts' skipper for the first three and freshman
Wyatt Bischoff skippering the final race. Lamoreux, Tindall and senior
Cindy Wang all crew B division races for the Jumbos today. Morris and Lamoreux had an eighth-place finish in Sunday's first B race.
Stanford University won the regatta with an 87 team score.
