BOSTON, MA (December 7, 2024) - The Tufts University women's track and field team began their 2024-25 indoor season with great performances at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener at Boston University in the Track and Tennis Center on the campus of BU and the 2024 TRACK at New Balance Early Bird Invite in Boston.
The Jumbos only sent a few athletes to each meet, as they continue preparations for the 2025 indoor season.
Two Jumbos made the trip to the Track and Tennis Center at Boston University. Junior
Lexi Dean was up first, running in the 3000m competition. Dean finished with a mark of 10:18.72 to finish 15th in her heat and 120th overall in a field largely made up of Division I and national team competitors. Junior Elizabeth Donahue ran in the 5000m category, and would finish with a mark of 17:36.31, placing her 15th in her heat and 155th overall in a very competitive category.

Grace Ogden was the lone Jumbo at the Early Bird Invite at the TRACK at New Balance. Competing in the 5000m run, Ogden finished with an 18:10.65 placing her just outside the top 10 in 11th place. She finished behind five runners from Williams, but in front of four runners from Bates.
Tufts will take a break for the remainder of the calendar year, before returning to action at the Branwen Smith-King Invitational in Gancher Field House on January 18.
