Women's Squash Competes At CSA Individual Championships Friday

PHILADELPHIA (March 8, 2024) -- The Tufts University women's squash team opened action at the 2024 College Squash Association National Collegiate Individual Championships Friday, as sophomore Vharsha Dinesh and junior Riddhi Joshi get things underway from Arlen Spector Squash Center. 

Joshi opened her trip through the Holleran West Division with a five-game win over Franklin & Marshall College's Gurlin Kaur with a thrilling 7-11, 11-7, 11-5, 10-12, 11-4 win to move into the quarterfinals. Once there, Joshi would fall to Princeton University's Charlotte Bell in a five-game thriller 10-12, 14-12, 11-5, 7-11, 11-7 to finish her weekend. 

Dinesh was in the Halloran East Division, and opened actions with a tough four-game loss to Lucy Stephenson of Princeton, 8-11, 11-8, 11-8 and 11-9. Once in the consolation bracket, Dinesh would knock off Rhea Pandit of Williams College in straight sets, 11-8, 11-8 and 11-8. Dinesh will now play at 12:30 p.m. Saturday against Sophia Koehler of Williams in the consolation semifinals. 

If Dinesh wins, she will play the winner of Laila Selim of William Smith and Aryaa Ogale of F&M for the consolation final.
