MIDDLETOWN, CT (April 6, 2024) -- The No. 13 Tufts University women's tennis team competed all match with No. 5 Wesleyan University Saturday, nearly sweeping doubles but couldn't come out on the winning side of things as the Cardinals topped the Jumbos 6-3 in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) play from Bacon Field House.
The Jumbos (4-6, 1-3 NESCAC) played very well in doubles, picking up a win at No. 2 doubles as
Natalie Hu and

Tufts had chances at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles as well, but the Cardinals were able to take a 2-1 lead into singles after both matches finished 8-6 in favor of the hosts. The win though for Hu and Woodbury was their second straight as they improved to 6-4 on the season. The six doubles' wins together lead the squad.
In singles,
Zoe Kava played very well at No. 1 as she was able to pick up a three-set victory over Caitlyn Ferrante 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-4. At No. 2 singles,
Rebecca Lim won her second consecutive match, moving to 7-3 on the campaign with a 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (6) victory in a super tiebreaker.
