MEDFORD, MA (July 31, 2024) -- Tufts University Assistant Director of Athletics for Facilities & Recreation Bailey Finocchio started to fill out her staff recently, and Noah Race was hired to serve as the newly-created role of Assistant Manager of Operations and Facilities.
"We are so happy to have Noah join our team," said Finocchio. "He brings great operations knowledge and will work closely on our game day operations helping support our student athletes' experience. He is a great addition to our staff, and we are excited to welcome him."
Race comes to Tufts after serving in his role of Operation Assistant, Capital Planning and Facilities at Division I Boston University from 2019-2024. Race helped facilitate game day operations, trained student-workers and handled maintenance requests. Prior to BU, he was an athletics contest manager at Endicott College during his time as an undergraduate student, assisting with game day operations for the Gulls. Race also has experience as a stadium operations intern with the Auburn Doubledays in 2018, while also interning in the athletics department at Morrisville State College in 2017.
"I'm very excited to come to Tufts and take on the position of Assistant Manager of Athletic Facilities and Operations," said Race. "This opportunity with Tufts and Division III athletics allows me to take on more roles and challenges while broadening my knowledge of collegiate athletics. Year after year, Tufts has demonstrated its dedication to supporting the success of its student-athletes, both on and off the field, and I look forward to being a part of that dedication.
Race is a 2020 graduate of Endicott College with a B.S. in sports management and a minor in business.
Tufts currently has 30 varsity sports and competes in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), NCAA, College Squash Association, Intercollegiate Rowing Association and Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA). Tufts also has 13 competition venues, along with the Tisch Sports and Fitness Center.
