MEDFORD, MA (September 21, 2024) - Tufts University is hosting the annual Hood Trophy out of Bacow Sailing Pavilion on Upper Mystic Lake. On Saturday, conditions allowed for eight races in A division and six in B's.
Tufts has four boats in the event. Through Saturday the Jumbos 1 team is 10th overall out of 20 teams with a 139 score, while Jumbos 4 is 13th (149), Jumbos 2 is 14th (153) and Jumbos 3 is 15th (165). Harvard University is in first place through Saturday with a team score of 74.
The Jumbos 1 team is skippered in A division by senior

Magdelaina Putnam as crew. The Jumbos 1 B team is senior skipper
Adrien Bellanger with junior crew Margaret Klein. Jumbos 4 has an A divisiion team of senior skipper

Flores and Morikawa are sixth in A division after winning two races today. Smith and Putnam are right behind them in seventh place for A's.
Action on day two of the Hood Trophy will start at approximately 10 AM.
