Coed Sailing 16th at Danmark Trophy Through Saturday

NEW LONDON, CT (September 28, 2024) - Tufts Coed Sailing is in 16th place out of 20 teams after a day of racing hosted by Coast Guard Academy on Saturday.

Eight races were held in two divisions. Tufts' scores were 89 for A's and 111 for B's totaling to 200 overall. 

In A division Tufts is currently 13th. Junior Ben Mueller skippered with seniors Rees Tindall and Matthew Caplan as crew. Tindall handled the first and second and fifth through eighth starts as crew, with Caplan on board for the other two. Mueller and Tindall were second in the seventh race of the day for Tufts' best A showing.

For B's (16th place) seniors Jack Flores and John Eastman skippered, with Flores taking the first, second and fifth through eighth races. Eastman skippered 3 and 4. Senior Magdelaina Putnam crewed all of Saturday's eight races. A seventh in the seventh race was the top B finish for the Jumbos.

Harvard leads the regatta through Saturday with scores of 36 in A's and 54 in B's for a 90 team total.

Sunday's action will begin at 10 AM.
