ST. MARY'S CITY, MD (October 19, 2025) – The Tufts University coed sailing team moved up a spot and finished as the runner-up team at the Atlantic Coast Tournament final that concluded on Sunday.
The Jumbos had been in third place through Saturday's results, but had a good day Sunday to move up to second. A total of 14 races in A and B divisions were held over the two-day event which featured 18 teams.
Tufts had scores of 74 in A's and 87 in B's for a 161 final score. They edged third-place UC Santa Barbara, which earned a 163 score, and were behind only regatta champions George Washington University (131).
The Jumbos compiled third-place scores in both A and B divisions for the weekend. On Sunday, seven races were ran in A division and eight in B's to get to the 14 total.

Kate Castleberry were together in A's all weekend. On Sunday they compiled top 10 finishes in all of their seven races, including a win and two thirds.

Oliver Keeves skippered the first four starts, then freshman
Pearse Dowd took over as skipper for the final four races. Junior Sean Bever was crew for six of the eight races, with Keeve filling in for the last two races. Tufts had five top five finishes in B's including seconds by Dowd and Beaver and Dowd and Keeves.
