CAMBRIDGE, MA (October 26, 2025) – The Tufts University coed sailing team completed its fall season with a solid seventh-place finish at the Schell Trophy, which was competed for the fall New England fleet racing championship this weekend.
Sunday's action saw six races completed in both the A and B divisions, totaling 14 races for the weekend. The Jumbos compiled finishes totaling to 107 in A's and 114 in B's for a 221 total.

Kate Castleberry had three top-three finishes out of 18 total teams in A races today. They finished the weekend sixth for A's overall.
For B's, the Tufts team of freshman skipper
Pearse Dowd with junior crew
Sean Beaver also placed sixth in their division overall. Their six B races on Sunday included a second and a fourth.
The seventh-place overall finish for the Jumbo coed team at the Schell Trophy is the best regional fleet race championship performance for Tufts since the seventh-place finish at the fall 2021 event.
Harvard University won the Schell Trophy today with a scoring line of 68 in A's and 59 in B's for a 127 final total.
This was the last action of the fall season for the Jumbos, who will resume their 2025-26 schedule in March.
