MEDFORD, MA (October 27, 2025) -- The Tufts University football team racked up season-high 482 yards on Saturday in a 41-20 win over Williams College, and sophomore
Hudson Weidman picked up his first career New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Offensive Player of the Week honor after his strong play in the victory.
Weidman totaled four touchdowns Tufts' 41-20 win over Williams College. Weidman was an efficient 17-fo-23 for a career-high 335 yards on 73.9 percent passing and three touchdowns. The sophomore added 46 yards on the ground with one rushing score. Weidman connected on touchdown passes of 72 yards, 10 yards and 22 yards, while his 10-yard rushing score was the first rushing touchdown of his career. He also helped Tufts post a pair of 100-yard receivers for the first time since the 2023 season.
Weidman, from Boxford, Massachusetts, becomes the first Tufts offensive player to earn the honor since
Michael Berluti exactly two years ago. Weidman is just the third Tufts player to earn the offensive honor since 2021, joining Phil Lutz (11/14/2022) and Berluti (three times) on the column.
The Jumbos finish their home slate on Saturday, November 1 against Colby College for Senior Day at Ellis Oval.
