WATERFORD, CT (November 1, 2025) – Senior
Liz Donahue earned All-Conference honors for the second straight year, helping the Tufts University women's cross country team take fourth place at the 2025 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCSAC) Championship race at Harkness Memorial State Park on Saturday.
The Jumbos accumulated a team score of 104, behind first-place Williams College (32), runner-up Middlebury College (69) and third-place Connecticut College (81).
Donahue was 12th in the race individually for the second straight season to earn the All-Conference accolade (top 14). She covered the six-kilometer course in a 21:39.64 time that was her season-best for the distance.
Tufts' top seven would all hit season- or personal-bests today in an overall solid performance for the team. Junior
Katya Henisz finished strong to score second for the Jumbos and place 18th overall with a 22:01.40 season-best mark. Sophomore
Deirdre Flanagan continued her run of good races with a showing in the third spot for Tufts with a 22:10.00 PR (23rd overall). Sophomore
Zoe Margolies ran a 22:14.77 season-best to score fourth for Tufts and be 27th overall.
Zui Chinchalkar scored fifth for Tufts, was fifth among first-years in the race and placed 31st overall with a season-best finish of 22:21.71. Tufts would place two first-years in its top six, as
Lily Simmonds was 33rd overall with a 22:25.15 time. Junior
Sonia Olson was next behind her with a 22:27.94 mark.
The Jumbos are idle next week before competing at the NCAA East Regional Championship in Hopkinton, New Hampshire on November 15.
