WILLIAMSTOWN, MA (November 22, 2025) – Senior
Madeleine Dunn won two races and was the runner-up in another as the Tufts University women's swimming & diving team began its 2025-26 season at a quad meet hosted by Williams College on Saturday.
Dunn was first in the 1000 and 500 freestyles with strong opening-meet times of 10:22.57 and 5:01.31, respectively. She was also second in the 400 individual medley with a 4:34.57 touch.
Quinci Wheeler made her senior-season debut as well, helping Tufts to two top relay finishes and taking a second and third in the breaststrokes herself. Wheeler was second in the 200 breast (2:27.99) and third in the 100 (1:06.67).
The Jumbos closed the meet with a 1:37.66 time in the 200 freestyle relay for second place. Senior

Angel Smyrniou and Skelly placed third (1:47.58).
The diving events were held earlier in the week and senior
Malia Leung won on the one-meter board (256.15) and was second in the three-meter contest (240.80). Sophomore
Riley Metz placed third in both, scoring 225.30 for one-meter and 221.40 in three-meter.
Sweeney Su started her sophomore season with a strong performance, finishing second in both the 100 and 200 freestyles. She submitted times of 54.11 seconds and 1:56.92, respectively. Stasz added third-place points in the 100 free with a 54.30 mark. Skelly added another good freestyle performance for the Jumbos with her finish of 24.38 seconds for second place in the 50 freestyle.
Sophomore
Lila Strober showed some versatility, supporting Dunn in the 500 free with her third-place finish of 5:18.17 and also finishing first for Tufts and fourth overall in the 200 butterfly (2:09.81). Classmate Oliva Pettit was the Jumbos' best backstroker today with a 59.25 in the 100 and a 2:08.92 in the 200, both for third place.
Smyrniou was the top Tufts finisher for the 100 butterfly with a 58.98 mark that was sixth.
In the quad meet, Tufts had wins over WPI 250-44 and Trinity College 215-78 and lost to the host Ephs 188-110.
The Jumbos are right back at it on Sunday as they host Brandeis University at Hamitlon Pool beginning at 12:00 Noon.
