CAMBRIDGE, MA (March 29, 2025) - Tufts University Coed Sailing is in second place out of eight teams at the Marchiando Trophy-Red Regatta through Saturday's action.
One full round-robin and most of a second round-robin were completed on Saturday. Tufts has an 8-5 record overall, which was tied with Roger Williams University at a .615 winning percentage. Tufts won a tie-breaker based on number of races won when the tied teams met. Boston College leads the regatta with an 11-1 record (.917).
In the first round-robin today, the Jumbos were 4-3 with wins against host MIT, the University of Rhode Island, Roger Williams and Stanford University. The losses were to Boston College, Bowdoin College and Tulane University. For the second round-robin, Tufts is 4-2 and the wins are versus Bowdoin, Roger Williams, Stanford and Tulane, while they have losses against Boston College and MIT. The Jumbos will face Rhode Island to finish up their end of the second round-robin.

Sunday's action, in which the second-round robin will be finished and a third round-robin contested if time and conditions allow, will start at 9:45 AM. MIT is also hosting the Marchiando Trophy-Grey Regatta on the Charles River.
