Coed Sailing Team 10th at NEISA Fleet Race Championship

CRANSTON, RI (April 20, 2025) - The Tufts University coed sailing team finished in 10th place out of 17 teams at the New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association Fleet Race Championship which ended on Sunday at Brown University.

Tufts was ninth through eight races in A and B divisions on Saturday, but dropped a spot during four races for both divisions on Sunday. In 12 A and B races overall, the Jumbos earned scores of 114 in A's and 84 in B's for a 198 total.

The B division squad placed seventh overall for the weekend. On Sunday, first-year Oliver Keeves was skipper with sophomore Wyatt Bischoff as crew. They had finishes of third, 10th, eighth and 10th in their four races.

For A division Tufts was 11th overall. Their team today was senior Jack Flores as skipper and sophomore Courtland Doyle at crew. Their four scores on Sunday were 15th, sixth, 14th and 13th.

Harvard won the NEISA Fleet Race Championship (46-57-103), receiving the Coast Guard Alumni Bowl as a result. They also earn the NEISA's automatic berth into the Intercollegiate Sailing Association Fleet Race National Championship. The non-winners, including Tufts, can potentially earn at-large berths into Nationals which will be announced on April 29.
