CRANSTON, RI (April 25, 2025) – The Tufts University coed sailing team was eliminated from the Intercollegiate Sailing Association Team Race National Championship on Friday.
The Jumbos had entered the day needing to get into the top eight teams for the Stage 1 round-robin. Though they were 12th after Thursday's racing, they were in a logjam of six teams with similar records who were vying for the last few top eight spots.
However, the Jumbos lost three of their final four Stage 1 races on Friday to be eliminated. They started the day with a loss to Yale University, and then had a loss to Boston College before the Jumbos defeated College of Charleston. They lost to Roger Williams University in their final race.
Tufts finished with a 6-9 record for 12th place in Stage 1.
Harvard University, Roger Williams, Yale, Dartmouth College, host Brown University, Stanford University, Tulane University and Boston College were the eight teams to advance. Action continues on Sunday, with a Stage 3 round robin of the top four teams also expected.

Cindy Wang. Against College of Charleston, Mueller was with sophomore crew
Courtland Doyle, Stuebe and Lamoreux teamed up and Bischoff and Wang remained together.
The Tufts women will compete in their National Team Race regatta starting on Sunday.
