MEDFORD, MA (May 19, 2025) - The Tufts University men's tennis team picked up another postseason award as they continue their NCAA Tournament journey.
Vuk Vuksanovic was named the ITA Northeast Region Senior Player of the Year following his stellar senior season with the Jumbos.
Vuk Vuksanovic has been the tip of the spear for the Jumbos as they climbed to the number three ranking nationwide. He played to an incredible 19-2 record from the number one position for Tufts. He went a perfect 9-0 within the New England Small College Athletic Conference as the Jumbos claimed an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. He holds a 13 match winning streak coming into the quarterfinal round.
His doubles play has been more than impressive as well. He carries a 19-5 record into tonight's NCAA quarterfinal match, almost entirely from the number one position. He dropped only a single doubles match in NESCAC play the entire season, and will be a huge part of the quest for the doubles point in tonight's match.
The ITA Senior Player of the Year award is the first ITA postseason award of Vuksanovic's career.
The Jumbos will look to advance to the semifinal round of the NCAA Tournament as they contend with No. 6 Emory this afternoon at 4 pm EST.
