ST. MARY'S, MD (May 29, 2025) - Due to a light and inconsistent breeze, the race committee was unable to get any racing started on the first day of the Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) Open Fleet Race Championship Thursday.
The teams will hope for better conditions on Friday. The start time has been moved up to 8:15 AM in order to get in as much racing as possible.
Tufts is one of 18 teams in the nation who qualified for the Open Fleet Race National finals. The Jumbos were eighth in the Western Semifinals on Tuesday and Wednesday to receive one of the nine berths from that semifinal into the finals. Nine qualifiers from the Eastern Semifinals also moved on to the finals.
