MEDFORD, MA (June 9, 2025) -- The Tufts University men's tennis squad landed an impressive five players on the 2025 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American list announced recently, including a pair that picked up both singles' and doubles' honors.
Senior
Vuk Vuksanovic and junior
Javier Gonzalez picked up All-American accolades in both singles and doubles, while
Sacha Maes and
Alex Ganchev were doubles' All-Americans and Gonzalez teamed with both Vuksanovic and first-year
Stavros Mastrogamvrakis to earn doubles' All-American accolades as well.
Vuksanovic finished the 2024-25 season with a 26-5 record in singles, playing only at No. 1 during dual matches. He was 9-0 in the NESCAC during the regular season, earning conference Player of the Year accolades. He was also an impressive 23-8 in doubles this year, going 20-6 with Gonzalez this year.
Gonzalez was an NCAA Singles' semifinalist this year, as he went 20-5 on the campaign in singles' action. Gonzalez was a All-NESCAC honoree as well in singles' and doubles', as he teamed with Vuksanovic to earn NCAA doubles' runners-up in the NCAA Championships. He also teamed with Mastrogamvrakis to go 5-1 in the fall together to make the ITA Cup and earn All-American accolades after winning the ITA Regionals this past fall.
Maes and Ganchev were ITA Cup champions this fall, and continued that amazing run into the spring as the pair went 22-1 on the season together. They went 8-0 in tournaments together, while adding an impressive 7-0 mark in the NESCAC. The group finished the year with a 13-match win streak.
