Owen Leads Tufts In 12th Place at New England Singlehanded Championship

CRANSTON, RI (September 12, 2025) - The Tufts University sailing team has three individuals competing at this weekend's New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association (NEISA) Open Singlehanded Championships at Brown University.

Out of 31 total competitors, Tufts junior Devon Owen is 12th overall, junior Wyatt Bischoff is 22nd and junior Gus Macaulay is 27th following Friday's action. Harvard University junior Robby Meek leads the Championship after one day.

Racing got started late waiting for conditions to improve and only three races were held on Friday. Owen had three straight 12th-place finishes for a 36 score. Bischoff had a best race of 14th in the second start and has a 59 score thus far. Macaulay's 74 score includes a best of 22nd in the second race.

First warning for day 2 of the regatta on Saturday is 10:30 AM.
