CRANSTON, RI (September 21, 2025) - Two Tufts University coed sailing teams finished 12th and 13th at the Sherman Hoyt Trophy hosted by Brown University which finished on Sunday.
Conditions allowed for seven total races in A and B divisions at the regatta (three on Sunday). The Jumbos 1 team was 12th overall, scoring 80 in A division ad 70 in B's for a 150 total. A Jumbos 2 squad scored 94 in A's and 67 in B's for a 161 total that was 13th. Eighteen teams total were in action.

Kate Castleberry were 14th in A division. They had two top-10 scores on Sunday with a seventh and a fourth.

Reddin Kehrli was 13th for Jumbos 1, including a sixth and a fifth on Sunday.
Tufts' top divisional finisher was the Jumbos 2 B squad skippered by freshman
Pearse Dowd. He teamed with classmate
Jack Poynter on Sunday and they were seventh in the first race. The team was 11th in B's overall.

Walter McFarland took over skipper duties for the Jumbos 2 A team on Sunday, with senior
Lilah Parker as crew. They were 10th in the second race of the day. Jumbos 2 was 17th in the final A division standings.
Host Brown University won the Sherman Hoyt Trophy regatta with a final scoring line of 23-44-67.
