MEDFORD, MA (October 10, 2026) -- The Tufts University volleyball team won its eighth straight match Saturday, rolling past visiting Connecticut College 3-0 inside Cousens Gymnasium in league action. Tufts won with scores of 25-20, 25-21 and 25-19.
The Jumbos improved to 13-5 overall, and 5-1 in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) while Conn. College dropped to 5-9 and 2-5 in NESCAC action.
Tufts continued to swing at a high rate on Saturday, using the offense as the normally strong service game only contributed two aces on the day. Tufts hit .284 as a team Saturday, led by another strong day from junior southpaw right-side
Maiwenn Kamdje. Kamdje finished with 12 kills on 17 attacks, adding three digs and two assisted blocks.
Junior
Celina Savage added eight kills and three assisted blocks, while
Tessa Fergusson posted six kills, five total blocks and two digs. Senior
Claire Castor led all players with 11 digs, adding five kills, ,and
Rianna Liu tallied 18 assists and 10 digs.
Junior
Ellery Clark also had 12 assists and
Dylan Whisenant posted four assists and eight digs. Tufts finished with 43 kills total for the match.
Rae Wartelle had 11 kills, four blocks and three aces to pace the Camels.
Tufts will return to action next Friday evening for a big NESCAC tilt, battling Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT Friday at 7 p.m.
