MEDFORD, MA (October 26, 2026) -- Following the biggest kick in his Tufts University career, senior
Caden Lawlor has been named as the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Special Teams Player of the Week.
Lawlor's 37-yard field goal with 32 seconds remaining was the difference in a 24-21 win over Williams. It was the first game-winning kick of his career. Lawlor was also 3-for-3 in PATs against the Ephs.
Lawlor becomes the second Special Teams Player of the Week for the Jumbos this season, as
Riley Yaker was honored back on October 5. He is the first Tufts place kicker to earn the award since Sal LoCoco back on October 31, 2021.
Tufts takes on unbeaten Amherst College Saturday, October 31 at 1 p.m. at Ellis Oval in Somerville, MA.
