BRUNSWICK, MAINE (October 3, 2026) -- The Tufts University women's tennis team saw its remaining four players eliminated from action Saturday afternoon, as the Jumbos finished action at the 2026 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) New England Regionals at Bowdoin College.
Junior
Melanie Woodbury was the lone player left in the "A" singles' draw, as she competed in the Round of 16 against Williams College's Gabriela Finchelstein. Woodbury would post a dominant 6-1, 6-0 victory to move into the Quarterfinals. The No. 7 seed Woodbury would see her run end though, as No. 2 seed Tina She of Amherst College eked out a 7-6 (4), 7-6 (3) win.
In the "B" draw, No. 7 seed
Ryan Wuhrman dropped an 8-0 decision to Bowdoin College's Naomi Williams. Seeded Lily Back also fell 8-1 to Babson's Sarai Dorismond 8-1, while
Evelina Anastasi was bested 8-1 by Colby's Emma Jani.
Tufts will now be off for the remainder of the fall before returning to action in the spring semester.
