CRANSTON, RI (February 28, 2026) – On a February afternoon suitable enough for sailing, the Tufts University coed team opened its spring season with action at the Liam O'Keefe Trophy Team Race hosted by Brown University.
Conditions allowed for 10 or 11 races amongst the eight teams as the New England spring sailing season started. The Jumbos had a 4-6 record for the day, giving them fifth place.
In an opening round-robin, the Jumbos won twice and lost five with the victories coming against MIT and the University of Rhode Island. A second round was started, where Tufts raced three more times and picked up victories over Yale University and Dartmouth College. Tufts had a perfect 1-2-3 finish against Yale.
Roger Williams University won the regatta with a 10-1 record.
