MEDFORD, MA (February 7, 2026) -- Visiting Hamilton College shot 59.6 percent overall and a blistering 53.3 percent from three-point land, cruising to an 81-64 win over the Tufts University women's basketball squad in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) action inside Cousens Gymnasium.
The Continentals (11-11, 3-5 NESCAC) got a game-high 22 points from Kendall Harris, who was 9-of-10 from the floor and 3-of-4 overall, while Maggie Kernodle and Taylor Lambo each had 16 points apiece. Lambo added 10 rebounds as well.
The Jumbos started slow for the second straight game on Saturday, falling behind 16-6 after the first quarter. Unfortunately for Tufts though, Hamilton used the second quarter to pull away as it was 5-of-6 from deep in the second stanza to take a 21-point lead at 43-22 heading into the locker room.
Tufts saw its offense tally 25 points in the fourth quarter, but it was too little, too late as Hamilton picked up the big conference victory.
Senior
Annie Aspesi had a team-high 15 points, going 6-of-12 from the floor while hitting three of her seven three-point attempts. Sophomore
Claire Kolkhorst added 14 points on 4-of-10 shooting from three-point land, contributing three steals and four rebounds as well, while
Tessa Lozner tallied nine points, seven rebounds and three assists.
First-year
Abby Congdon recorded seven points, five rebounds and three assists, and
Sarah Crossett came off the bench to post eight points before fouling out. Tufts shot the ball well in the second half, and made 10 three-pointers on the game, but it wasn't enough to get back into the game.
With the loss, Tufts is now in a tie for fifth place in the NESCA with Connecticut College at 4-5 with four teams a game behind them at 3-5.
The Jumbos finish out non-conference action Tuesday night in Cousens Gymnasium, taking on Emmanuel College at 7 p.m. in Medford.
