KINGS POINT, NY (March 22, 2026) - The Tufts University coed sailing team won a regatta for the second straight weekend as the Jumbos were first out of 10 teams at the KP Open Team Race which finished on Sunday.
Tufts was first at the Southern New England Team Race last weekend. The Jumbos won again this week after the first round robin which started on Saturday finished on Sunday and determined the final results.
The Jumbos won all nine of their round robin races to win the KP Open Team Race with a 9-0 record. Penn was second with a 7-2 mark, winning a tie-breaker over St. Mary's (MD).
After winning all six of their races on Saturday, the Jumbos were 3-0 on Saturday to finish the opening round robin with a 9-0 record. Sunday's victories were against Hobart and William Smith, Kings Point and St. Mary's (MD). Today's win over host Kings Point was by a 1-2-3 finish.
