CAMBRIDGE, MA (March 28, 2026) – Tufts Coed Sailing is seventh out of 16 teams as the Lynn Marchiando Trophy Team Race got started on Saturday.
A large 16-team round robin began, but was not completed. Most teams in attendance raced nine or 10 times today, though first-place Dartmouth with a 7-1 record is the lone squad that had eight races.
The Jumbos raced 10 times and won seven. The victories came against Harvard, Boston College, Yale, Coast Guard, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Connecticut College. The Harvard team that Tufts defeated is currently ranked third at the regatta. The Jumbo victory against Coast Guard was by a 1-2-3 finish. Tufts' losses today were against Roger Williams, Dartmouth and St. Mary's (MD). Tufts still has to face Bowdoin, Brown, MIT, Navy and Old Dominion to finish the first round robin.

First warning for day two of the regatta on Sunday is at 9:45 AM. Completion of the round robin is the aim, with more if conditions and time allow.
