CAMBRIDGE, MA (March 7, 2026) – The Tufts University coed sailing team is in fifth place out of seven teams after the first day of competition at the Wood Trophy hosted by Harvard University on Sunday.
The seven teams at the regatta completed two full round-robins on a good day of racing Saturday. Tufts had a 3-3 record for the first round, then was 1-5 in the second round. Their 4-8 total record so far is fifth.
Jumbo wins in round one came versus Boston College, MIT and Northeastern. The losses were to Brown, Harvard and Yale. Tufts' lone victory for the second round was against Northeastern, with losses to the other five teams.

Harvard and Brown both have 11-1 records after the two round-robins, with Harvard winning the total points scored when tied teams met tie-breaker to lead the regatta thus far.
Day two on Sunday is slated to begin at 10 AM.
